Our Story

I have a few passions in life: hiking, reading, and tea. There's something special about a good cup of tea alongside a book — whether out on a quiet trail, taking in the scenery, or sitting in a café watching the rhythm of city life pass by.

In June 2025, my husband and I traveled to Albania for a hiking trip in the mountains. We spent several nights in Theth, a small village surrounded by rugged peaks. Each morning before heading out, we would stop at a local spot for breakfast — partly to fuel up, but also to chat with the locals and try their food and tea.

It was there that we first discovered the sage and honey tea, and what they called "mountain tea." When we ordered it, the locals seemed almost amused. They shared stories of how it had been passed down through generations — something their grandmothers would insist they drink as a remedy for colds. Now, as adults, they still drink it with a smile and a sense of nostalgia. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it sparked our curiosity.

Before leaving, we asked if we could buy some to take with us, but were told it wasn't for sale there. Instead, a kind local pointed us towards a company based in Shkodër, the nearest town — Yellow.Fit.

On our way back to Tirana, we decided to track them down. When we arrived at their showroom, we were welcomed warmly by the owner, Rudin, and his team. Their pride in their tea was clear from the moment we walked in. Rudin spoke about where the tea is sourced, why quality matters, and how they only use whole leaves and carefully selected ingredients. The room was filled with incredible aromas. We left with a generous collection of their blends, feeling both delighted and genuinely moved by the experience.

Back in Australia, one evening over a pot of that same tea, we found ourselves wanting to share it with friends. As our supply slowly ran low, the idea began to take shape — why not bring this tea to Australia and share it more widely?

And that's how Yellow.Fit Australia began.

We reached out to Rudin in Albania, and he immediately embraced the idea. Since then, he has been incredibly supportive, helping us bring a small piece of that Albanian mountain experience to life here at home.

We're so glad you found us. Pull up a chair, put the kettle on, and welcome to our little corner of the Adriatic. 🍵
